CHIGWELL LADIES' BRONZE TEAM ARE VICTORIOUS

They became the new County Bronze Team Champions after a thrilling match against Channels – a marvellous finale to this year’s campaign.

Andrea Partridge won the first match 6/4, Denise McKenzie won 8/6 and Julia Chew then won her match 5/4.  We needed one more point for victory.  Julia Lawes fought back from 2 down to become all square on the 17th.  Julia then won the 18^th for  Chigwell’s victory.  The remaining matches on the course were called in and declared halved.

Our Club Captain and Lady Captain were amongst the many Chigwell members who gave our team such tremendous support, along with the ever faithful trolley-pullers who are such an important part of the action.
